For over a decade, we’ve been documenting weddings throughout Florida and across the world, blending editorial composition with genuine, unscripted emotion. our approach
The name Flora & Fauna comes from our shared appreciation for the natural world — plants, animals, and the environments that shape our sense of beauty. It’s a reflection of what we’re drawn to in our work: organic movement, soft light, and honest emotion.
Our journey began in 2012. Jenn was working in corporate finance, craving creativity and meaning beyond the walls of an office. Derrek had spent ten years as a firefighter and paramedic, serving his community but yearning for a new kind of purpose. Together, we decided to take a leap into full time wedding photography — to trade structure for spontaneity and never looked back.
We’re endlessly grateful to do what we love — to create photographs that feel honest, refined, and deeply human. Because at the end of the day, the beauty of this work lies not just in the images, but in the connection behind them.
