Though Emily and Nima are Brooklyn, New York natives, these two opted for a destination wedding in California. Emily and Nima were married in Palm Springs, California at The Historic Cree Estate. We love how the Cree Estate captures the warmth of old fashioned Mexican architecture while artfully incorporating modern amenities. The original owner, Raymond Cree was one of Palm Spring’s most important developers; he recognized early on the amazing potential of the Coachella Valley’s wide open spaces and captivating beauty. One of Cree’s best contributions to Palm Springs is the lavish house that he built back in the 1930s as his own private hideaway, which is now The Historic Cree Estate.
Emily and Nima’s friends and family traveled cross country to celebrate with them on their wedding day. They wanted to ensure that they would be able to spend a lot of time with their closest friends and family over the entire weekend. They held a welcome dinner for their wedding guests where everyone was invited to swim in the Catalina blue pools that The Cree Estate offers. We love that Ruffled Blog featured their eclectic, modern wedding. #creeestatewedding
