GUYS! Could this sunrise be any more beautiful!?
Bali is an amazingly, beautiful country. From the kindness of the Balinese people to their breathtaking landscapes, this place stole a piece of our hearts. Unfortunately, that beauty is being tainted by pollution. Lots of pollution… Every morning we would wake up to watch the sunrise. (Mostly because our bodies never fully adjusted to the time difference.) This particular morning, we ran into Lianne and Chris with their cinematographer, Max Cutrone. Our random morning meeting turned into an impromptu sunrise session.
During sunrise every morning, we would watch hotel workers rake up and bury the trash on the beaches. Pollution in Bali is a serious problem. Bali is positioned right in the middle of the Indonesian through flow. The Indonesian through flow is a current that streams from the Pacific Ocean into the Indian Ocean through the straits of Indonesia. This means that plastic waste polluting Bali’s shores could be either local or brought in from as far away as the Pacific Ocean. Let’s do our part to reduce, reuse, and recycle, especially plastic waste!
