A lot of people ask us if our names are Flora and Fauna. If only! Our business name, Flora + Fauna means plants and animals in Latin. We really fell in love with this as a representation of our business because find so much inspiration in nature. When we’re curating an editorial shoot, we always look to the beauty in the world around us. For this editorial, we were inspired by the rich colors of Sedona, Arizona. Naturally, we wanted to mimic the tones of the canyons and foliage that you would find in the Sedona Valley. We used a monochromatic approach to styling this editorial shoot, only using terra cotta and olive colors to pull together an aesthetic that would represent the tones that you would find in the canyons. We wanted to find a landscape that would feel like the midwest, which is pretty scarce in the forever flat Southeast region. We were honestly floored when Caroline with Moonstruck Florals told us about Providence Canyon. We were really surprised to find this western looking canyon was just a quick drive away in Georgia.
We’re beyond excited to see our inspirational shoot featured on Green Wedding Shoes.
